Whipped out NFS Underground 2 last night and it’s amazingly fun. When you don’t take games uber seriously you can really have a blast with this old stuff.
I started the game from the start again and started the game with a late 90's Civic SI coupe. The only reason I choose this car is because my brother had this very same car when this game came out.
I think I will be putting in many hours on this game. Especially since

now. (I have 2 PS2s. One in my gaming room and one in my 2013 Ford Fusion)

I ought to break out Burnout: Revenge again. Probably been like 7-8 years since I played it.

I know right! I must have spent weeks of my life playing this game, staring at the tint CRT TV in room when I was younger

I’m not so sure. I went back to play Dirt 3 since it was one of the first games for xbox ones backwards compatibility and I just couldn’t get into it. The physics were really weird and the cars were difficult to control

We had a projector in the dorm in college, eyes were so dry afterward

I hear everyone praising the burnout games and I remember not liking them back in the day. I haven’t played burnout in at least 15 years so my memory is probably skewed so I might have to pick up a copy and try it again.

Easily one of my favorite games of all time. But you gotta start with the 240SX!

Burnout Revenge is mostly best played for the crash mode. I.e. staging and executing through car wizard powers the most catastrophic multi-car pileup possible.

Seems like you’ve been too spoiled by the newer stuff that you can no longer handle the awesomesauce of the old stuff.

Know what you mean, I busted out the SNES, played some Tetris on the regular NES, and am playing some Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast on the gold nearing 14 year old silver lunchbox of a console. Star Wars games are very underrated as far as fun to play factor goes.

My roommate recently bought me a Japanese Famicom so I'm trying to beat Super Mario Bros 3 again.

Mario 3 is a fucking classic! I keep going back to it over and over.
